The cabin
We would rather tell you the truth here than have you discover it on arrival.
What works well
- The driveway is level with the ground-floor entry, so you can get into the house without climbing any steps
- There are only minimal stairs between the entry and the lower-level bedroom, and its attached bathroom is on that same level
- The hot tub deck is on that same level
- Every bathroom is attached to a bedroom, so nobody crosses the house at night
- Two of the three bathrooms have walk-in showers rather than a tub you have to climb into
What does not
- The main floor also has its own entrance at the front of the house, but it is up an outdoor staircase. Enter at ground level if you would rather not climb it.
- There is no elevator. The kitchen, living room, dining table and the other bedrooms are up one or two flights of stairs.
- Doorways throughout the cabin are standard residential width, not widened. If you use a wheelchair or a walker, tell us the clearance you need and we will measure the specific doorways and give you the numbers before you book.
- There are no grab bars anywhere in the cabin — not in the bathrooms, not by the tubs, not in the showers.
- Two of the three bathrooms have walk-in showers, each with a short curb to step over rather than a flush, roll-in entry. Tell us if the exact curb height matters and we will measure it for you.
- The community roads are steep in places
Safety equipment
- Fire extinguishers on every floor, and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors throughout
- An escape route map is posted on each floor, so you can see the way out from wherever you are standing
- A first aid kit in the kitchen
- The cabin is inspected and permitted annually by the Sevier County Fire Marshal’s Office
If you tell us what you need, we will measure anything and answer honestly, including telling you if this is not the right cabin. Ask us.
This website
We built this site to be usable with a keyboard and with a screen reader: real headings, labeled form fields, visible focus outlines, alt text on every photograph that carries information, and color contrast that meets WCAG 2.1 AA for text.
Two parts are not entirely ours: the booking calendar and the reviews come from our reservation platform, and we do not control their markup. If either one gives you trouble, tell us and we will take your booking manually.
If anything on this site is hard to use, tell us and we will fix it.

We keep every earlier version of this page. The terms that apply to your stay are the ones in force on the day you booked, not the ones you are reading now — if they have changed since, ask us and we will send you the version you agreed to.
